Red
The
red machine is called a "quad",
A
bike that has four wheels,
It
travels very speedily
And
climbs the steepest hills.
It
pulls a useful trailer
And
carries quite a load.
If
driven very carefully
It
goes along the road.

Orange
This
very useful tractor,
Although
he's rather small,
Can
work all day and half the night.
It
tires not at all.
It's
lifting arms are very strong
For
lifting any load.
Because
he does not go so fast
We
keep him off the road.

Yellow
The
tractors down at Rainbow Farm
Include
one little fellow
Who
is not quite a tractor
But
who is attractive yellow.
He
used to cut the garden grass
And
trim the Big Back Yard
But
now he soon gets tired and
Finds
work rather hard.

Green
Sturdy
John is quite a Deere
With
wheels as tall as me.
Whatever
task he has to do
He
does it willingly.
He
cuts the meadow, splits the wood
And
will thump a heavy post.
Of
all the tractors at the farm
He
really does the most.

Blue
Bluey
has a temper
And
sometimes roars too loud.
Of
all my lovely tractors,
Of
him I am least proud.
He
will not work on Sundays.
Is
it laziness or what?
I
cannot make him work too hard
Because
his motor gets so hot.

Dark
Blue (Indigo)
Now
Dark Blue has a problem.
His
wheels go round O.K.
But
his diesel engine crankshaft
Broke
down the other day.
His
battery is broken,
His
mudguards both have rusted.
You
cannot take him anywhere.
Alas,
he can't be trusted.

Violet
Violet
is dreamy.
She
sleeps away her day
Resting
in the Big Green Barn
And
sobbing, 'cos she's gray.
I
would like one day to paint her
A
color more befitting
But,
if she will shirk all honest work,
In
the barn I'll leave her sitting.
