Beware of Wizards and Witches and Spells

And Frogs and Lizards and Nasty Smells.

A mighty wizard was Matthew Potter

Who cast his first spell before he could totter.

He changed a football into a bat

The day someone gave him a large wizard's hat.

The bat flew away to an unknown location

And the boy with no football went on vacation.

I am only little

frogs can't dance I can dance the froggy hop

When other young children were learning to cook

Matthew learned spells from a wizardry book.

When other young children were singing in parts

Matthew would practice his magical arts.

He once found a frog, I have to declare,

And taught it to dance like Froggy Astaire.

He would come home from school, put on gown and beard

Then with spell book and wand he would do something weird

Like change a purple finch into a crow

Or call up some thunder, some rain or some snow.

The magic he made did not inspire thanks

For most of his spells were quite naughty pranks.

Mischievous Me

I will solve your problem!

I can fix it

With one piece of mischief, and no-one knows why,

He magicked the river and made it run dry.

The dryness ran downstream as far as the sea.

The sea remained wet; it was greater than he.

The Town Council was angry, every last man.

There was only one cure: send for Superdan.

Superdan fixed it. It took half an hour

And two million buckets, but he has such power

That no-one can frighten or spellbind that hero

And he can frustrate spells and bring them to zero.

Magicians and witches may make magic stew

But Superdan will not let them bring harm to you.

Magical stew is not good for you

I am Superdan's Mom
