The Genial Genie
O Genie, of the magic lamp,
Don't come if the weather's damp.
Stay in till the day is fine
Then help me work some spells of mine.
O Genie, let me say I'm fond
Of asking you to mind my wand,
But don't come when the weather's chill.
You cannot help me if you're ill.
O Genie, magic is such fun
When shines the moon or glows the sun,
But if the day is dark and drear
Don't come till the weather's clear.
O Genie, though you fear the owl,
And dread the Wyvern's dragony growl,
Disregard the Wizard's scowl
And don't come if the weather's foul.
Retire this Genie
