Bob the Burglar:
When Bob the Burglar goes to work
He always goes at night.
He wears his very darkest suit
And takes his shadiest light.
His face is covered with a mask,
Dark hat upon his head,
He enters other peoples homes
While they're asleep in bed.
He wears his very softest shoes,
Because they make no noise,
Unless he trips on lego stuff
Or treads on squeaky toys.
He quietly breaks a window
Or forces back a door,
And then he steals your cash and gold
And leaves you rather poor.
I can squeak louder than anyone!
"I think I know who did this thing,"
Says Officer Mc Blew,
"This broken door suggests to me
'Twas Burglar Bob Balloo.
I'll search through his apartment,
And there, inside a bag,
I'll find your missing cash and things,
And other burglar's swag."
So Bob Balloo's apartment
Was searched, and there they found
Cash and gold and diamonds
Weighing nearly fourteen pound.
They put the handcuffs on him,
He was looking rather pale,
They put him in the burglar bus
And took him off to jail.
The moral of this story,
I am sure you will agree:
Keep all your doors and windows locked
And take care with the key,
For Bob may be locked up inside
Where he can do no evil,
But the work of a thief is beyond belief
And there's many a thieving weevil.
